Urea
Urea is a naturally occurring component of the skin's Natural Moisturising Factor and plays an important role in maintaining hydration and smoothness.
As body skin becomes drier, its outer layer can become rough, rigid and visibly crepey. At 10% concentration, Urea works through two complementary actions.
First, it acts as a humectant, drawing water into the outer layers of the skin to improve hydration and visible plumpness.
Second, it acts as a mild keratolytic, helping loosen bonds between accumulated dead skin cells so rough, uneven tissue can shed more effectively.
Together, these actions help body skin feel softer and appear smoother, more supple and less crepey.
